Themes & Display Settings
Open Display Settings from the gear icon in the chapter view, or from the user menu.
Themes
| Theme | Look |

| Light | Bright background, dark text |
| Calm | Softened light theme for long sessions |
| Quiet | Muted neutrals, low contrast |
| Dark | Standard dark mode |
| Black | True black, good for OLED |
| Custom | Write your own CSS |
Custom mode gives you an editable CSS template — accent colors, paragraph spacing, link styling, anything. It's saved to your browser and persists between sessions.
Reader Layout
- Font family — 12 options including Inter, Georgia, Charter, Atkinson Hyperlegible, OpenDyslexic, Merriweather, and Lora
- Font size and line height
- Text alignment — left or justified
- Content width — wider for desktop, narrower for distraction-free reading
On mobile you can also pinch to zoom.
Toggles
- Entity hints — subtle underline on entity names (default on)
- Clickable entities — tap an entity to open its dialog (default off, so stray taps don't break your flow)
- Community suggestions — under Glossary; shows a blue underline on terms other readers have translated
- Tips — contextual tips around the site (default on)
- Suggestion confirmation toast — shown after a glossary edit (default on)
Speech
The Speech tab covers Text-to-Speech: pick the narration engine (free Browser voices, or AI voices on the Pro tier), choose a device voice, and set speed and pitch.
