You can pull other readers into a thread by typing @ followed by their username in any review, review reply, chapter comment, or nested reply.
An autocomplete dropdown appears as you type, showing matching usernames with their avatar
Pick a result to insert the mention; the rendered comment shows the mention as a styled @username token
Mentions are ID-anchored — once you mention someone, the link survives even if they change their public username later
Up to 5 mentions per post are allowed (daily comment / review caps still apply on top of that)
Mentioned users get a rich notification with the novel and chapter context plus a quoted excerpt of what was said. This replaces the old "auto-notify the OP on a reply" behavior — you can now pull a third reader into a thread, not just notify the original author.
You get notified when someone interacts with you. Notification types:
Replies — someone replies to your review or chapter comment
Votes — someone upvotes or downvotes your review or comment
Mentions — someone @s you anywhere comments are allowed
Report resolved — a novel report you submitted has been accepted or rejected
Refresh digest — batched chapter updates for novels you're following (one digest per refresh, not one notification per chapter)
Replies, votes, and mentions show the original text and the interaction each in their own quoted block, with the novel and chapter inline — you can tell at a glance what's being responded to without leaving the notifications panel.
Check your notifications regularly to stay in the loop.
