How do I create an account?
RandomTranslator uses Patreon for authentication. Click Login on the site and you will be redirected to sign in with your Patreon account. You do not need a paid Patreon subscription to create an account -- logging in gives you access to free features like bookmarks, reading history, and community tools.
Why can't I read chapters past chapter 50?
Chapters beyond the free preview window require an active subscription. Check out our Pricing page for tier details, then subscribe through Patreon to unlock full access.
What is the difference between a Preview and a Full Translation?
Both go through the same translation pipeline — same entity consistency, same glossary enforcement, same quality refinement. Translation quality is identical.
The difference is scope:
- Preview -- only the first 50 chapters get translated. Useful for sampling a novel before committing a full-translation slot. All preview translations are free to read for everyone.
- Full Translation -- the entire novel is scraped and translated. Full translations cost a request from your monthly quota.
You can convert a Preview into a Full Translation any time from the novel page if you decide it's worth reading the rest.
The translation quality seems off. What can I do?
If a chapter reads poorly, try the Retranslate button on the chapter page. This reruns the translation with the latest model and glossary data, which often fixes issues. See our Retranslate & Rescrape guide for details.
Why are some character names or entities wrong?
Our system maintains a glossary of entities (character names, locations, skills, etc.) for each novel to keep translations consistent. Sometimes the initial extraction gets things wrong. You can fix this yourself -- head to the novel's glossary page and submit corrections. Check the Glossary System guide for a walkthrough.
How do I request a new novel?
Go to the Request Translation page, paste a link from any of our supported sources, and submit. The scraper will pick it up and begin processing. If the source site is not yet supported, request it on Discord.
How do I report a bug or issue?
Two options:
- Discord -- Join our Discord server and post in the appropriate channel. This is the fastest way to get help.
- Report button -- On any novel page, use the report button to flag issues directly. This notifies the moderation team.
I subscribed but my tier benefits are not showing up.
Make sure you are logged in with the same Patreon account you subscribed with. Benefits sync automatically, but it can take a few minutes. If it still does not work after 10 minutes, let us know on Discord.
