Text to Speech
Listen to chapters read aloud while you follow along with the text.
Availability
Text to Speech (TTS) is available to subscribers on the $24.99/month tier.
How to Use TTS
- Open any translated chapter
- Click the Text to Speech button in the chapter toolbar
- Audio playback begins automatically
The audio plays inline as you read, so you can follow along with the text on screen. Playback controls let you pause, resume, and stop at any time.
Tips
- TTS works on translated chapters -- switch to the Translated tab first
- Use TTS for proofreading or to enjoy novels hands-free
- Click any paragraph to start playback from that point
- Choose between 27 voices (US/UK male and female) and adjust playback speed in Display Settings
How TTS Works
We use Kokoro TTS, an open-source text-to-speech model, hosted on our own GPU infrastructure. Audio is generated on demand each time you press play. No third-party TTS services are involved -- all processing happens on infrastructure we own and control.
