Notifications & Alerts
The bell icon in the top bar collects replies, mentions, report resolutions, request updates, site announcements, your saved-search alerts, and two daily digests. All free, no subscription needed.
You also get a notification when a wiki you requested finishes generating.
Saved-Search Alerts
Turn any Browse search into an alert for new novels that match it.
- Go to Browse and set your filters — category, tags (include / exclude), status, fandom, word-count range
- Click Notify me
- Name the alert (one is pre-filled from your filters) and save
Keep as many alerts as you like — "short completed Xianxia", "long ongoing cultivation novels", and so on. Matching new novels show up in your daily discovery digest.
Rename, toggle, or delete alerts on the Notifications page.
The Two Daily Digests
Novel activity is rolled into two once-a-day digests instead of per-event pings. Each fires once per UTC day and is de-duplicated.
- Library updates — new chapters in your bookmarked novels marked Reading or Plan to Read. Sent as a separate digest per status.
- New-novel discovery — the day's new novels matching your alerts, with a link to a pre-filled Browse page.
Preferences
Open the bell and use Preferences (or the settings on the Notifications page) to toggle:
- Library updates digest
- New-novel discovery digest — turns on automatically the first time you save an alert
- Feed types — mute general announcements or site-update notices
Preferences are saved to your account and follow you across devices. The unread badge counts everything except muted feed types.
